Exposure Summaries

CAREX Canada’s exposure summaries are a useful guide for those looking to better understand – and reduce or eliminate – the known or suspected carcinogens that Canadians are exposed to in workplace and community environments. Assembling various CAREX Canada data, tools and resources, these summaries package information in various ways; so far we’ve developed summaries by occupation, industry, province, route of exposure, population, cancer site, and exposure source.

Have a topic that could be addressed with a package summary? Please get in touch with us at info@carexcanada.ca.

These include an occupational health package for the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) and a fact sheet package on asbestos, diesel engine exhaust, crystalline silica, and solar radiation prepared for a recent symposium on the Occupational Cancer Research Centre (OCRC)‘s Burden of Occupational Cancer project. Note that these summaries reference our 2006 estimates of exposure.
