Fiches et estimations

CAREX Canada a développé des profils et des estimations sur l’exposition environnementale et professionnelle pour un certain nombre d’agents cancérogènes connus, probables et possibles. Les profils (ou fiches d’information) renseignent la population sur l’évidence existant par rapport à la cancérogénicité des agents, les principaux usages auxquels ces agents sont destinés, et le risque d’exposition et la réglementation en vigueur. Les estimations sur les expositions environnementales ont de l’information détaillée par rapport à l’emplacement ou les individus au Canada sont exposés aux niveaux national et provincial. Les estimations sur les expositions professionnelles renseignent le nombre de travailleurs exposés par type d’industrie et par métier, et là où les données sont disponibles, les niveaux d’exposition sont estimés. De l’information détaillée au sujet des sources de données et des méthodes sont disponibles pour toutes les estimations et profils.

Ces profils et estimations peuvent aider la communauté scientifique, les politiques et autres experts dans le domaine de la prévention contre le cancer à identifier les priorités et à cibler les communautés ou milieux de travail nécessitant plus de recherche ou d’interventions.
